Cold Case at Cardwell Ranch
by B.J. Daniels
A few reasons why I rated this so low. This book is branded as romance-suspense, so I treated it as such:
1. The mystery was pretty cool, I love a good "who dunnit" cold case, but the romance was not at ALL compelling
2. Waco was an okay hero, defs better than other male heroes in this genre
3. The main character, Ella, was an idiot who ran into situations without thinking, she acted like a 30 year old child
4. This book jumps POV a lot, which is fine! But it was the two main characters and then, randomly, side characters that may not have a POV later. I got whiplash from the constant movement to unfamiliar characters.
