I bought this book because it was on a list of suggested books for people who were fans of Downton Abbey. It is a very in depth historical account of the service industry in Britain. I really liked the photographs and the personal accounts featured throughout the book. Service was harder work than people probably imagine. I really enjoyed this book and learning about a different way of life and work path than I am personally familiar with.
