I really enjoyed that this book follows both the pathology and police investigation. I'm also a huge fan of Hal and loved the friendship between him and Schwartzman.

Schwartzman escaped an abusive husband 7 years ago and has slowly been rebuilding her life. But when a murder victim resembles her she is thrown back into her past. The author really captures the fear that follows Schwartzman and my heart broke for her. Trying to work out if the ex is behind it and how the hell he could have done it kept me hooked.

This is definitely a great book to read if you love psychological thrillers. I ended up questioning everything.
