I had no idea what kind of book this was before opening it to read. I like to do that sometimes and go in without any preconceived notions about whether or not I will like it. With this book, I fell into it and got lost in the world that Ness had created.

First of all, this is a very dystopian feel book, but there's also a whole new world, space travel thing going on as well. The most interesting part, for me, was how they could hear each other's thoughts and not just that, but the way the author managed to convey how chaotic that would be through font and words and overlapping of text.

There's a whole quest that the main characters must go on as well. They've got to find a place where things might be different and there might be help for their troubles. However, when they get there, what they find is not what they expected and we are left with a cliffhanger.

I'm very eager to read book 2, this world has sucked me in and I need to find out what happens next.
