Secrets for the Mad by Dodie Clark
4.0
I quite thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have been a Dodie fan for quite a long time and didn't have the chance to read it when it first came out. I'm so glad I got to it though! It really made me reflect on the people we see on screens and how they too are normal human beings who have lives and friends and yes, sadness. And that it's quite okay to feel sad because it will be happy again. The depth she goes into her own experiences would be so beneficial for people going through similar things to read. I wish my sophomore year me had read this book. I do think that people who are not a fan of Dodie might not like it as much. It is very personal and while I think it would be helpful for all I just think people who know her might understand some things more due to references and all of the songs. Overall I quite loved it!
