This story is gut-wrenching and oftentimes difficult to read because of the subject matter. It’s brave of the sisters to share their story. The writing was a very graphic but I don’t think that’s a negative, why should the sisters and the author sugarcoat what they literally lived through for us to feel more comfortable? You’re supposed to feel uncomfortable and disturbed.
