This is my second book by this author and I can definitely say that I am hooked. Now I didn’t read the original generation or series of Rixon Raiders, but I guess that the parents of our characters are from those books. Now I may have to go back and read those, because I’m intrigued to know how all the stories actually went down to cause the relationships between the adults in this series.

While technically the characters in this book are in high school, because of the steamy romance I’d consider this more of a new adult sports romance. And honestly, I have to wonder just how realistic it was for Kaiden to not only enjoy doing some of the things he did with Lily, but also be as good at them as he seemed to be. That’s probably why I marked it down a little rating wise.

The characters had so much depth and background though. Lily’s problems or struggles were so sad, and then when we found out exactly what had caused them it made me so angry at certain characters and I really would have like to see them get some more punishment. But like Lily said, that karma would get them in the end. Kaiden was a really complex character as well. And while his sexual prowess may have been a bit unrealistic in my opinion, other ways that he behaved fit perfectly for a boy his age I thought. Like how he reacted when he found out who Lily was. And also how he dealt with other characters that he had issues with. His dad was someone that was just ugh, another person I wanted to get what was coming to them!

A wonderful story, I hope to read more in this series, and as I said, find time to go back and read about the original characters as well.
