This is an amazing book. I might have just read my favorite book of 2019 already.

This book is everything you wish for. Let's start with the looks. The dust cover is amazingly beautiful, with the illustrations and the colors and the gold. Underneath the dust cover is a wonderful surprise, the design is amazing.

And throughout the book are little illustrations - a few whole pages but mostly little doodles at the side of the pages, and they really add something to the story. Sometimes the letters and words are also played with and I LOVE that, it is done amazingly and really adds to the magic feel of the book.

Then on to the story. It is the best! It had a reader, magic, book characters... Everything we readers love to read about. It is filled with secrets and friendship and adventure and character development... My heart BURSTS with love for this book.

And some good news as well: this wonderful work is translated into Dutch as Matilda en de boekdwalers - a perfect translation. I really look forward to being able to sell this book t kids and parents and everybody else at my job in the bookstore :)
