"A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" was very beautiful and thought provoking. It's about the growing up of a young girl in Brooklyn and all the ups and downs she encounters. She has a strong love for being curious in the world with gaining an education and reading. Francie isn't afraid to ask questions and strives for more in life through all her struggles. It was also interesting peaking into life in the early 2oth century. I was afraid the book would be too predictable at the end, but it still left the reader thinking.
