Beautiful. The best historical fiction book I have read in a long time. Kristin Hannah transports the reader to a very difficult period in history and does it in a way that is very personal. You suddenly feel like the main characters are part of your family and you're pulling for the sisters, the husband and the grandfather. This is a book that will stay with you long after you read it.
