Feminists Don't Wear Pink (And Other Lies)
by Scarlett Curtis
Hear me out before you think I’m not a feminist or something.
I most certainly am and I think that is exactly why I found this book (or rather collection of essays) so incredibly underwhelming.
Some were worth the read such as Keira Knightly’s Weeker Sex but the big majority were boring, missing the point, not even talking about feminism at all. Recommended by adult women and written by adult women I’m impressed on how little to no research and no knowledge there is around the supposedly main subject of this book.
I applaud the diversity of the women that were gathered for this project but it needed much less essays focusing on quality instead of this random mash up of thoughts. So much more work needed to be done for this to be published. I’m sad to say I felt that I wasted my time reading this.
1,5 star from me rounding up to 2
