All the Dangerous Things
by Stacy Willingham
To keep it short: This psychological thriller slaps. We love an unreliable narrator, especially when it's mixed with a disappearance or murder, and this one is phenomenally done. As a sleepwalker myself, it can be really disconcerting to wake up somewhere new or recall a dream that actually happened in real life. It's honestly terrifying. Isabelle Drake is persistent in her search for her son, even a year after his disappearance. You find yourself questioning the entire time what she's capable of and what truly happened to Mason. It's gaslighty, psychotic, and torturously paced - really a great book for any thriller fan.
And the ENDING. We love a twist and Stacy Willingham delivered. I haven't read A Flicker in the Dark yet, but I think I have to pick it up now.
