Wow, I loved this book so much!
This is the third book I’ve read by Julie Buxbaum, and so far I’ve given each one 5 stars.
The short alternating chapters between Abbi and Noah were great. I always love when authors use short chapters because it makes the story quicker to read.
Both Abbi and Noah were lovable characters, and I enjoyed their friendship very much. Also, Noah’s friendship with Jack was awesome; they had such great banter.
Similarly, Abbi’s parents were funny and likable.
This is the first book that I’ve read that discussed 9/11, and I learned so much about that event that I hadn’t previously known such as the health effects for survivors.
Considering that 9/11 is a very sensitive topic, I thought Buxbaum did an excellent job discussing it without making the whole book depressing.
Overall, I highly recommend this book and will definitely be reading it again in the future.
Moderate: Death, Medical content
Minor: Cancer
This book discusses the events of September 11, 2001.
