Corrupt Intentions
by Anastasia Wright
Phew okay real talk.. this was rough for me to finish but not in a bad way at all.
We pick right back up from Legal and I was holding my breath because we can't just start to get him and wham, he's taken away. I almost through my kindle until I realized.
Except then I got angry, I felt alll the emotions right along them all.
I never expected this to go deep into a thriller and be what it was but it was soo good and kept me interested from the beginning. I did have to stop and take a breather a couple times because the details are so specific.
I loved the dynamic in this one, although Lacey rubbed me the wrong way with her selfishness in the beginning, I was able to see past it and until Ledger. His confession had me tearing up and for good reason. I am glad that Koa was there in this book but he was almost a secondary in this book and it became about Lacey & Ledger where Legal was about Koa & Lacey. Each book built up the individual relationships and they come together in this book seamlessly.
Did I expect what comes next? Kind of, it is a why choose, but also it doesn't have to always go that way. That was my one take away from this book but it ultimately added to the banter between them and it makes sense and its a good call back to book 1 when it is discussed or rather blurted out.
As with the first one there is plenty of everything that was in there but them spicy scenes in this book -fans face- all I will say is prepare for that hot tub ;)
The triggers are HEAVY so please please read them before reading. The warnings are there for a reason, although this book touches on things that are dark and some may find disturbing it doesn't take away from the story but those things are needed to make this what it turned out to be.
Job well done Anastasia, you are a new author to me and I cannot wait to see what comes next!
