The Saturday Night Ghost Club
by Craig Davidson
This book evoked all the feelings. I laughed, I cried, I reminisced, and I was even on the edge of my seat reading this like Sebastian with The Neverending Story: totally enthralled. Craig Davidson really knows how to hit deep with this one as he tells the story of a young boy and his uncle. The book flashes from the present where our protagonist is a successful neurosurgeon to the past during one summer he will never forget. We get to see how he experienced his summer as a kid versus what he knows happened as an adult. I wish we could believe and have faith longer than we do. I miss that feeling. This story is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. Davidson has a way with descriptions that will just make you read in awe. Highly recommended story - 5 stars!
