Across the Universe
by Beth Revis

"A love out of time. A spaceship built of secrets and murder."
~Beth Revis, Across the Universe
Warning: This book contains sexual content. More graphic then other young adult books. Recommended for 14+
Across the Universe is simply amazing. It chocked me the whole the time and I did not expect half of what happened.
Amy is a 17 year old girl from Sol earth who was frozen 301 years ago. But that wasn't what happened. She was woken fifty years early, she was unplugged. She was almost murdered.
As the book moves on Amy struggles with the idea of the ship and how everything is different. But soon more people are being unfrozen, and murdered.
Elder is a 16 year old boy who was born on the godspeed and is next inline to be captain of the ship. The elder before him had killed and it is up to Eldest (Current captain of the ship) to train him to learn his responsibilities. But one day as he explores the hospital, he comes across the cryo chambers and sees a beautiful girl. Amy.
When she is unfrozen they work together to prevent further murders and try to discover who is committing them.
But as the season comes around (Scheduled time basically for people to do it) and they dig themselves deeper into this mission they discover things about the godspeed and the people who control it.
The sexual content in this book made me squirmish. It was more graphic then usually.
Example:
"She dug her hips against his with a thrust as she rides him...."
There was several times through out this book that I felt me cheeks heat up. I even looked around to make sure no one was close enough to read what the pages said because I was uncomfortable about it.
As the book progresses the secrets of the ship are revealed and they are nothing you expected. Who is murdering the people who are frozen? Why do people act like zombies? What is on the fourth floor?
