It makes me happy that books like this exist. I know we are worlds away from something like this being part of a school curriculum, but I hope we get there. Both for the kids questioning their gender identity, and to expose and normalize the experience for cis kids.

However, it did strike me as odd that Uncle Roderick didn't present this discussion when we was alive. He had been gathering materials for several years, it seemed, and he was sick and knew he was dying.
