2.5...I have seen a ton of positive praise for this book but, it fell flat for me :/ I hate this because the first 50 or so pages were so promising and truly had me hooked! While the book contained multiple twists and turns I would have enjoyed them more if they made actual logical sense. The paranormal elements that were intertwined didn't add up either and made it feel like too much was going on at one time for me to be fully engaged. I don't want to give too much away but between the letters and the revelation about a character towards the end of the book, I feel that Feeney tried too hard to make every single detail tie together and ~mean something~ when really, it would have been more believable if every single thing wasn't a clue. Overall, this kept me interested but the more I read it the more annoyed I became. If you simply want to read something for twists and turns choose this. If you want it to fully make sense, maybe don't.
