Honestly I was kind of bored, it popped up, and I was like, lets try an ABO (also known as omegaverse) just to see what it is like. I had read other books that took similar tropes but I don’t think I had previously just read ABO on its own. This story follows Tryst, an omega in a world where the ability to mate with an omega is allocated by lottery amongst US citizens. Once an omega turns 21 this lottery happens until she has a couple of mates and then they go off and live together. Tryst is understandably frustrated by her lack of ability to choose a mate for herself. Honestly most of this series is just her being frustrated, having hot sex, being frustrated again, having more hot sex with another person rinse and repeat. Which honestly is kind of what I was looking for so like I wasn’t mad about it. There is some political intrigue that happens and enough plot that it didn’t become boring.
