The Whisper Man
by Alex North
If you leave a door half open, soon you'll hear the whispers spoken.
If you play outside alone, soon you won't be going home.
If your window's left unhatched, you'll hear him tapping at the glass.
If you're lonely, sad, and blue, The Whisper Man will come for you.
The Whisper Man by Alex North tells the story of Tom Kennedy, who after the loss of his wife decides a fresh start would be good for him and his young son, Jake. They move to the town of Featherbank, but this town has a dark past - a serial killer who murdered five children and was nicknamed, The Whisper Man, because he spoke to the children by whispering at their windows at night.
Tom notices that Jake seems to have imaginary friends and that he is drawing odd things that "the boy in the floor" told him to draw. When Jake hears a whisper at his window one night things start to get really creepy. When a new boy vanishes, it's up to detectives Pete Willis, the man who arrested The Whisper Man, and Amanda Beck to solve the case before it's too late.
Wow! What a wild ride this was. This is one of the best thrillers I have read! There were times I was so creeped out that I had to stop reading. I don't recommend reading this in bed at night with your window open, but I definitely recommend reading it!
