This one took me forever to get through and I think part of it was because I was really starting to get annoyed with Kal in this book.
Aurora was on the path to becoming such a badass and he was trying to hold her back at every step. I get it, he loves her and wants to protect her but man was he soooo overbearing. By the end of the book he was my least favorite character and every time he was mentioned I cringed a little.
The coolest parts of the story were those with Scarlet, Fin, and Zila and those were the chapters that kept me engaged in the story. Tyler’s got better towards the end as well
I think part of it was I’m falling into a reading slump as well… hopefully I can get out of it quickly
