myntop 's review for:
Looking for Alaska
by John Green
This book was emotional, as are many of the Green books I've read.
I think this book is important for teenagers to read for two very important reasons... both of which would have me leave spoilers, so I will just say there are two possible reasons for the tragedy in the book... BOTH are issues that teens need to be more aware of.
This novel shows how easily it is to be pulled into friendships and situations you never thought you'd be involved in as well. The desire to find ourselves is often hindered or enhanced by the friendships and relationships we make.
I've recently learned that this book is being made into a mini series on Hulu, I'm interested to see how it all turns out!
