Beautiful memoir and historical record of Silver Moon - a feminist bookshop that was founded by two lesbians during the era of Thatcher’s Britain. Thoroughly enjoyed reading about the tribulations and triumphs of the running of the bookshop. Silver Moon became one of the biggest women’s bookshops in Europe and even hosted literary greats like Maya Angelou. Found this book completely by accident when it came across my desk for cataloguing so shout out to our Non-Fiction Collection Librarian for buying it.
