The Silent Wife
by Karin Slaughter
The Grant County and Will Trent series are probably one of my favourites. The Grant County series is the one that got me hooked on crime thrillers. I did not realise that we were on book 10 of the Will Trent series already. Time flies when you are reading gruesome murders.
Something to bear in mind is the crimes in this book include rape and there are some graphic scenes (maybe a bit too graphic). Apart from that, it was a great read. It was really interesting seeing another side to Sara and Jefferey's relationship. There’s also the frustration of Sara and Wills inability to communicate, the fact that Lena is still managing to mess with investigations and Faith's struggles with the brutality of the attacks.
I did guess who the bad guy was but I still enjoyed the investigation. I loved the past and present chapters to see how the two investigations differed. The long chapters though made it harder to dip in and out of the book and its definitely one that you have to settle in for a long read.
I received a copy of the ebook via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
