The Trees
by Percival Everett
this was good but had some moments that i didn’t really see as necessary for the overall story that was being told for the rest of the book.
i enjoyed the way this was written, a bit of a biting humor but without trying to hard to lighten a hard topic or look like the rasicm wasn’t taking forever seriously either by the author or the story itself. so that was very well done.
it’s a well done book overall, i enjoyed it.
but i seem to be missing what makes this book one of the best fiction books published during the last year?
it’s good and i am not saying it doesn’t deserve the attention but i also think there are books that also handle similar topics that are at least as good as this one?
