Me by Elton John
3.5
funny reflective medium-paced

This memoir was funny, fabulous and full of interesting anecdotes of the highs and lows of Elton John's exotic career and social life. Like any good memoir, it was easy to follow with the chronological storytelling and strong pacing and full of some fantastic quotes.

"I'd rather try and build a bridge to someone on the other side of me than a wall"

Taron Egerton has done an absolutely fantastic job narrating this book, capturing the character of Elton throughout and use of accents to really bring a charm and humour  - perfection.

Elton covers topics from his musical career in rock and roll, AIDS support to his relationships and addictions. Whilst written in an incredibly frank nature - which is very on brand for Elton - it did at times feel a tad surface level and would of loved a little more emotional depth.

Don't have to be a huge Elton Fan to enjoy his story and highly recommend experiencing this as an Audio Book.
