This was a fun, fast paced read. The good points: a great dynamic between the main characters (they start off despising each other and it's very fun to read); a fun plot with detective aspects; the use of Korean mythology and mythological creatures; the presence of Korean fantasy tropes (while I'm not as familiar with Korean fantasy as I'd like to be, certain things were instantly recognisable from Chinese fantasy which I've been consuming a lot of recently); an ending I really liked. 

Some slight disappointments: the central relationship turns too quickly from dislike to romance; the moments involving lust or sex were honestly pretty boring; and the story just wasn't really very memorable, I didn't often find myself thinking about it when not actively reading the book. 

Overall a fun book which I enjoyed reading but probably won't read again. I would recommend it to someone looking for decent escapism.
