The Marriage Contract by Katee Robert
4.0

ARC received from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an honest review

From the blurb, I was not really sure why the O'Malley's were so dangerous. Was Teague just a player who needed a wife to keep the family happy? What business would need this kind of alliance.

But once I started, well, let's just say that yes, I could completely understand what kind of "family business" would require the alliance.

The O'Malley, Sheridan and Halloran families are all mob families, and allegiances and alliances are all the more understandable.

Teague O'Malley - can I get a swoon?!? I adored him from the first time he was on the page, and he just got better and better.

Callie Sheridan is the other half of the "business arrangement". And is the heir to Teague's family's .. I guess you would call them the enemy.

But when Callie and Teague are in he same room together, man the chemistry! Phew, you could cut the sexual tension with a knife.

This is not just a romance though, there are deeper, darker story lines running through this first story, and later stories in the series.

This is a bit of an insta-love kind of relationship, which I usually don't like, but in this case it didn't bother me as much as it usually does. They might like each other, but can they trust each other?

Nope, for that you are going to have to read for yourself.

There were some secondary characters that I really liked, but there were some that even a day later, I am not sure what to think of them. There was also a great set up for the next book in the series.

Katee Robert is a new-tome author, but her writing has me interested in reading more of her work.

The Marriage Contract was a great start to the O'Malley's series, and I look forward to what Ms Robert has for us next
