medium-paced
prelim thoughts before book club:
  • i wish the joe/oliver reveal wasn't at the end
  • less of parker would have been FINE. no parker would have been fine!
  • i like sadie but she was a disaster (which is fair and justified) there was just so much going on
  • joe was lovely but there was way too much drama. and why did he have to be divorced? seemed unnecessary
  • loved sue wish she didn't get kidnapped so we could see more of her
  • mom storyline was very well-done
  • descriptions of face blindness were really interesting and i think the main conflict of her being a portrait artist was genius.
  • peanut my beloved
  • the augusta ross thing at the end was SO dramatic. like sadie isn't an angel ?? idk
  • LOOOOVE dr nicole
  • this was such a fun reading experience though and i flew through it !!

i liked this book, but i don't really have any reason to love it and now that i'm thinking about it, there was a lot that did kind of frustrate me. maybe 3? 3.5 stars?
