dermkat 's review for:
The Jigsaw Man
by Nadine Matheson
This was excellent! I didn't realize it was meant to be the first in a planned series of novels featuring DI Anjelica Henley until I was done reading it but I'm glad it will be because the ending left me wanting more. Henley is back on active duty after catching a serial killer and being injured by him two years ago. Chillingly, her first case appears to be his copycat, so now she and her trainee will have to go interview Olivier in prison to find out if he knows who has started the gruesome killings and dismemberments again while leaving his brand somewhere on the body part. This was one of the books I wanted to read as part of my FOLD Authors challenge, but I wasn't able to get it in time for that prompt--so glad I still decided to read it! After all this romance, my detective thriller loving heart is happy. I also think this would make an awesome audiobook, so if I ever reread it I may look for that format instead.
