Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris
4.0

I have already seen true blood on tv, so I knew what these books were about before I read them. I very rarely ever read the book after I have seen a movie/show. Normally it is the other way around. I think I prefer to read the book first, but oh well.

These books are about Sookie Stackhouse, a waitress who can read minds. There are vampires mainstreaming with people, because they are not seen as much of a threat since they can drink synthetic blood. (they are not a threat only in theory)

These books are good, I enjoyed the first one. But I loved Bill for most of the tv show, and I liked him much less in the book. That was a little disappointing. He seemed much colder in the book.

But I am looking forward to starting the next book to see how it is different from the show.
