A book I have been wanting to read for many years, I am glad I read it. It turned out to be very intriguing. The way the story is projected, the picture makes Dorian an evil person although he stays forever young and the picture grows old and all the misdeeds of Dorian is reflected on the picture. It is an allegory, depicting the fact that an evil person’s face portrays the evil committed throughout their life, as they age. People must age no matter what. there is no eternal youth.
Lord Henry Wotton is a very charming character in the book. He is depicted as a person who is very experienced and well read. The knowledge that he imparts to Dorian is noteworthy.
