My daughter recommended this book to me, and even let me borrow her copy. While the target audience is obviously someone younger than myself, I couldn't help but relate to Ever anyway. I struggle with my own body image a lot and while I don't have a name for that awful voice in my head that tells me only bad things, I do have a hard time ignoring her.

The best part of this book is that Ever finally sees her own worth. It's not about a boy, or a best friend, or even what size she's wearing. She finally opens her eyes and sees herself as pretty, as talented, and as worthy. This is the kind of positive affirmation we should be teaching our young people...male and female alike.

I highly recommend this book to middle school on up! Even as an adult nearing 40, I still loved it.
