onceuponanisabel 's review for:
Wicked and the Wallflower
by Sarah MacLean
This was so incredibly unlike all other historical romance (at least that I've read). It had that weird intensity that I noted in my review of The Weight of the Stars that I generally enjoy but sometimes find to be a tad pretentious. I was leaning in the pretentious direction at the very beginning of the book, but at some point, I just lost myself to enjoying the book, and suddenly my evening had flown by. Felicity was an incredibly likable heroine and while I was frustrated by the inclusion of one of my least favorite romance plot points overall I would say that the romance in this book was fairly convincing and well fleshed-out. I look forward to continuing the series:)
