I wanted to like this book more than I did. I think the writing style having long descriptive paragraphs made it slow at times— I didn’t really feel a sense of “I can’t wait to read what happens next”.
What I did enjoy about that is how it made it easier to experience and feel what the characters were feeling.
There is an aspect of magical realism that I didn’t love but was unique for me to read. The random descriptions of others throughout the world felt out of place and I didn’t vibe with the intent of that.
Overall not very eventful and though there were a few quotes that felt
I would be curious to read a different book by this author to help discern my opinion on the writing.
