saxz_library 's review for:
The Reappearance of Rachel Price
by Holly Jackson
dark
reflective
tense
slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven:
A mix
Strong character development:
No
Loveable characters:
No
Diverse cast of characters:
No
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Yes
Went into this book excited to read Holly Jackson's writing again
This book did slightly disappoint me
The plot is intriguing, with good characterization of all the characters, but the plot twist fell short for me
Also why did I find everyone in this book untrustworthy and manipulative
Even at the end whenRachel explains what happened and when Carter kills Charlie I was like excuse me, why are you all going along with Rachel's plan to hide the murder because apparently Bel's dad was a murderer
Also the cops in this book are useless, but we know Holly loves to show us just how useless our justice system is :)
Anyhoo very unrealistic plot twist but loved the writing
Just wish Bel took on more of an investigative role instead of things just happening
