One issue i have with band books are that the characters always tend to fall into the same archetypes over and over. the alcoholic who is turnign to harder things, the one wh ois dark and brooding ot the public but really is just thoughtful and quiet, the one who acts like an industry plant and is considered the good one, and lastly the “normal” one who wishes he could go back to his old life and the old band before their crappy management. 

Other than the cliched archetypes though, the book was fairly good, though the plot was cliche as well. it was fun to read, but I’m not sure if I would read it again. I think it does show how hard the industry can be, especially for those in marginalized communities. 

I’d give it a solid 2/5. Personally, i didn’t enjoy it, but I think that it would be a fun read for people in their y/n wattpad phase (no judgment) or that wish that they were in a band.
