The Slow Regard of Silent Things
by Patrick Rothfuss
Delighted to get more from one of my favourite characters.
A bizarrely beautiful story, Rothfuss makes you care about inanimate objects more than lots of authors manage to make you care about characters. This really put me in mind of authors like Max Porter, it frustrates me that the ‘stigma’ of genre fiction keeps readers from beautifully crafted stories and prose like this.
