The Infinite and the Divine
by Robert Rath
The Infinite and the Divine, a wonderful game of cat and mouse that takes turns in places you didn't see them. Trazyn and Orikan are a study in opposites that just don't know when to quit.
Trazyn is obsessed with preserving the past to delay dealing with the present/future, constantly wanting to take and curate his never ending museum of history. His need to have everything collected and perfect often gets in his way of seeing different possibilities. Orikan is arrogant in his knowledge of the future, constantly using it as a way to outrun his past.
The banter between these two and those they interact with is great. Sabotage, schemes and constant shenanigans fill the pages. And their reluctance to admit that in terms of equals they have no one but each other makes it almost more heartbreaking to see what has become of them throughout the millennia.
If you're looking for a fun introduction to the Warhammer universe, wanting to branch into Necron lore or just want a fun read I recommend picking up this one.
