imgunnagetyou 's review for:
Water Moon
by Samantha Sotto Yambao
incredibly fucking disappointing. this book ties for the WORST insta love ive ever had the misfortune of reading in my life. before 12 hours and hes already brushing the hair from her cheek and theyve already had a one bed trope (60 pages in btw). 24 hours and "i love you" and fuckin already. i wouldnt give a shit about a hook up, its the part where the author is trying to convince me they somehow romantically love each other. this book wouldve been 100% better if it werent for the god damn insta love
im honestly amazed that this is samanthas FIFTH BOOK??? it reads like a shitty debut... the writing is very simple, but the imagery is beautiful
there are many things that dont make sense at all.. in chapter 41keishin doesnt want hana to give up a memory for the game because he thinks her last happy memory might be the one where they were fucking and he didnt want her on display for someones entertainment. he even balls up his fist in feminist king rage. he then proceeds to give up his last happy memory... of them fucking
and of course, the philosophical talks every single character has with each other is shallow
