I sadly could not wait for this to be over.
I had significant trouble trying to understand what was going on throughout the whole book. I actually couldn't tell you what happened other than MAJOR plot points.
Olivie Blake's writing tries to be poetic and thought provoking but ends up mulled and confusing. Unless I truly am too dumb to understand it. I really had fun with the first book in this series and had high hopes for book two and three. However, both left me unsatisfied and confused. I genuinely will be reading the SparkNotes for this book to try and find some sort of conclusion to the end of this trilogy.
