The only reason I read this book was because I curiously picked up the first Girl Online a couple of years ago and genuinely enjoyed it.
I read this and I did enjoy it, although I did find it quite slow at some points, wishing it would hurry up and get to the climax. There were times where I relecutant to keep reading because was a bit of a drag and repetitive, but once the crescendo hit I was more into the story again.
I really like the overall message that this book sends about overcoming your fears and anxieties and standing up for yourself, following your dreams and passions and being brave. I also really like Penny as a character and her development throughout the book, her thoughts and feelings are really realistic and I found myself rooting for her not to be with Noah (shocking! especially coming from me; someone who roots for the couples happy ending).
Also the other thing, Blake's character. I didn't find his grounds for disliking Penny very well articulated or explained, he kind of just hated her just because? Seemed a bit eh but whatever.
Anyway, I enjoyed the book, and I'll probably read the next one just because.
