A Flicker in the Dark
by Stacy Willingham
slow-paced
This was a decent read I was intrigued with the mystery and how it unraveled. It actually felt like a movie playing in my mind. I could see this becoming a movie adaptation on hallmark or Lifetime. Ya know not a movie of substance but something you watch when there’s nothing else on. This is the end of my good review.
The unreliable female lead due to substance abuse/alcohol use trope isn’t my favorite, in most books it feels like lazy writing- this one included. One of the plot twists was predictable within the first few chapters despite the author’s attempts at red herrings. So many plot holes and situations that just does not make sense!
