I’m working on a paper that is an attempt to understand fear of mass shootings - who is most afraid, is it conceptually distinct from fear of other homicide victimization, predictors of fear, and behavioral consequences of fear. This book was a comprehensive yet concise overview of the fear of crime literature to date! Highly recommend for anyone trying to get a birds eye view of where the fear of crime scholarship has come from and where it’s going.
