Review

This book is about a girl called Alyson, she is on a school trip around Europe with her best friend.

Alyson is not spontaneous at all, but one night instead of going to watch a boring Shakespeare play in a theatre, she decides to go and watch another one in an underground tunnel, here she meets Willem, who she notices when he throws her a coin at the end of the play.

They get to talking as you do and she tells him that it is her last night in England, and she is going home to the good old USA in a couple of days, she tells him that she really wanted to go to Paris but they never got there as the French airlines were striking.

So Willem invites her to go with him, just like that, and she says ok, her best friend says ok and they go!!!!! WTF!!!!!

Even if my best friend had met a cute boy, I would not let her just bugger off to a different country with him, he could be a serial killer! !.

So they go and have a lovely day, everything is perfect and they have a bit of a steamy moment in an old squat that they broke into........i know right, how romantic!

She wakes up in the morning , and what do you know, Willem is gone!!!! Shock horror, I didn't see that coming at all!!

So Alyson goes home, then turns into Bella Swan for the next half of the book, moping around as she never got to see her true love before she went.

HE DUMPED YOU, SILLY GIRL! !!

The next part of the book was her trying to find him.

I didn't get the book, I was bored with most of it, and I couldn't care less if she found him or not.

The descriptions of the places she visits are very well written, and you could nearly feel yourself sitting in a cafè in Paris drinking coffee and watching the world go by.

As for the story, I was angry for a lot of it Alyson was selfish, yes, her phone didn't work as it wasn't quad banded, but she knew how to use a payphone when the shit hit the fan and she was left on her own, so why not a little call to her friend to say Hi it's me, having a lovely time and I'm not dead, bye? It was all me, me, me!
