What the Wind Knows
by Amy Harmon
4.5 stars. I really liked this. Time travel is always a bit mind bending ... this one seemed a little more "real" in some ways. I enjoyed the history of Ireland, and the relationships Anne developed. I got quite attached, so some scenes hit me hard emotionally.
I have read "Outlander" and there were some similarities.
I understand why the Yates poems were included before all of Anne's chapters, but I got a little tired of them. Anne's chapters were straight-forward, written in first person, past tense. The Thomas chapters were "written" ... as if we were reading a journal. I was listening to the audio edition, but as I had the Kindle copy available (Kindle Unlimited) I checked out the print too, and say that the Thomas chapters were clearly defined visually, with italic print and narrower margins.
I must admit, I wasn't at all sure I would be happy with an ending here ... but I was.
