Keeping Thyme
by T.J. Hamilton
ARC received from author for an honest review
Oh.... my.... god!!! After the mindf&*k that was the end of Making Thyme, I have been impatiently waiting for the final installment in the Thyme Trilogy, Keeping Thyme. Maybe nagging her a little for this book too lol.
You will need to have read Buying Thyme and Making Thyme first, these cannot be read as standalone books.
And it was well worth every second of the wait!
Starting just hours after Making Thyme ends, Mia is dealing with the aftermath of what happened (I don't want to say as it will ruin it if you haven't read the whole series) and while she tries to come to grips with things, she is dragged right back into the thick of things.
Ms Hamilton, what a tangled web is weaved with Keeping Thyme! Mia is back in her Miranda persona to take on Tench and his henchmen. She was like Jasinta Bourne! There were so many things going on with Mia, Tench and all the main characters of the series. It was fast paced and action packed.
I loved that we got to delve at bit into Mia's past in this book (if you have read You Can Call Me Miranda you will have an idea of it, but there were some other things that took my by surprise). Her emotions jumped off the page, the sadness, the fear, the hatred. She is such a conundrum - so strong and smart, but with such terrible self esteem issues at times.
I did enjoy the little insight into Tenc. Through the series he has been a character I loved to hate to love. There are two sides to his character and it is hard to pin down which is the real man.
But what I really loved? There is something that happens that was what I really hoped would happen - I know, very vague but I can't say what it is without spoiling things.
I have loved this series from the minute Ms Hamilton asked me to read book one, Buying Thyme, and now this is me that the series has ended:
I can't wait to see what Ms Hamilton has in store for us next!
