I really liked the premise of this book (which is huge considering I'm usually not a fan of books that flip back and forth between time periods), and I thought all of the characters were very well fleshed out. I even enjoyed the irony of it reading like I was watching it on a screen (since a film being made is a large portion of the story). However, maybe 100-200 pages could have been consolidated, including some of the time jumps. But overall I really enjoyed this book and it's been a while since I've read something in a longer page count. Kind of hoping they do a miniseries for this (I personally don't think there would be enough time in a movie to get all of the important details).
