The Conjurer’s Wife is a perplexing yet captivating read. I'm a fan of Penner’s writing, and her talent translates beautifully to the short story format. It was especially fun to read this right after her latest release, The Amalfi Curse, since it’s set in the same world and includes a few subtle nods to that novel. I continue to be impressed by Penner’s storytelling and wholeheartedly recommend her entire catalog.
