House of Death
by Michael Fowler, Michael Fowler
This isn’t a particularly long book so it’s a quick read but it packs a punch. It’s the 3rd in a series and whilst I didn’t feel like I was missing any vital information I will be going back to read the first 2 for the history of the main characters. Both Hamlet and Alix are lovable and I enjoyed their takes on the case. It’s fast paced with a lot of action and I wasn’t sure how they would prove their innocence in the handling of the case which added to the suspense. I did find there were a lot of overly detailed descriptions of the meals they were eating which was a bit odd.
